A Little Background
My name is Cody Thompson and I am the author of this blog. I have started this blog for 2 purposes, to share what I already know and to record what I will learn about the internet. I enjoy the complexities and intricacies of the internet culture and design and I plan on discovering different ways to utilize this estonishing achievement of mankind for myself and for others. Is that dramatic enough for you? In short, I have few years of experience in the computer and internet marketing industries. I got started in 1995 tinkering around with computers, learning how to build and repair them and then eventually moved on to networking. In 2002 I became a marketing consultant for small businesses and entreprenuers, assisting them in website construction and marketing. I have since owned and operated my own online retail and consulting businesses and have worked with small business owners in a variety of ways. I have experience implementing and optimizing a wide range of marketing techniques such as web site marketing using SEO and PPC strategies, e-mail marketing campaigns, lead generation, affiliate marketing, online auction sites and blogging. Day by day the internet changes and evolves, and keeping up with all the changes is a challenge I enjoy and look forward to each and every day. I’m creating this blog to share what I’ve learned about being successful online. I have seen to many people be scammed out of thousand of dollars by subscribing to “how to make money online” programs that I wanted to provide a valuable and free internet resource that seperates fact from fiction. I hope you find the information useful and I encourage participation from my readers. When I’m not busy studying, writing, and testing new marketing strategies, I enjoy making music, reading, writing, spending time outdoors and enjoying good food and conversation with friends and family.
